Daily Challenge

Day Eight- Sunday
I truly do believe that the miracle and profound nature of this day is appreciated more from the spiritual side of our beings than the mortal. The truth of the resurrection is a gift to not only our bodies, but our spirits. Of all that you could do today, take time to allow yourself some quiet time for pondering. I pray that you will end this week, or better begin this week, with a renewed testimony of the Savior, of His atoning sacrifice and a sure knowledge that these blessings apply to YOU.

Day Seven- Saturday
Today is a simple day. Focus your attention on D&C 138:30. Make sure you are among the Saints who Jesus would consider one of His righteous. Make sure that you would be included as Jesus organizes His forces to carry the light of the gospel to all the Earth in these Latter Days.

Day Six- Friday
Spring has always been my favorite season. I love how the grass greens, the sky seems so beautifully blue, and the flowers bloom. I love the sounds and smells of spring too as the mornings are dewy and the birds are singing.
Find some time to enjoy the season. Consider buying a flower arrangement to remind you of the significance of today and the coming days. This really is a time of renewal and beauty.

Day Five- Thursday
As I think about all that happened on this day in the life of Jesus, I feel like the best and most productive Daily Challenge is to earnestly read all the scriptures that are listed today. I honestly feel that if ever you had a question in your mind or even the slightest weakness of faith that today's scriptures will solidify your testimony. If you will allow yourself to focus on the events of today, I believe that you will truly increase your faith and devotion to Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Day Four- Wednesday
When reading the scriptures about the woman who approaches Jesus, I was struck by the Mark 14:6. After being confronted about allowing her to anoint with such expensive ointment, the Savior responds by saying "Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me." This led me to ponder that each one of us has a unique work to wrought on the Savior. Your role may be entirely different than mine in His kingdom. For this one woman, she anointed the Savior prior to burial, but Jesus confirms that this shall be a testimony for her through eternity. Pretty significant. I think that it is so easy to be hard on ourselves or compare our efforts to those of another. Ponder today the significance of your role in the kingdom and determine to appreciate that.

Day Three- Tuesday:
It's interesting in these teachings, Jesus uses the fig tree as a symbol of the timing of the Second Coming.  Just as the green leaves on the fig show the coming of season, the events prophesied of will let you know the time is near.  Yet, Jesus repeatedly offers peace in not knowing, and simply recommends that we live every day prepared.  Analyze your own preparedness and what you want to be more diligent with.

Day Two- Monday:
When Jesus was teaching the people in the Americas, He taught, "Behold I am the light; I have set an example for you...Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up- that which ye have seen me do. Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed" (3 Nephi 18:16-24)
What do you glean from that scripture? Today, concentrate on what it means to show in our countenance and actions the reflection of Christ and determine to apply His daily practices into your own busy days.

Day One- Sunday:
Consider today how you have planned to celebrate the Easter holiday. Is there anything that you can do to better understand and study the events that lead up to the Resurrection? Can you make a purposeful plan to include some decor in your home and life that represents the very Sacred and Holy nature of the upcoming holiday. Look at the kids corner craft and determine this week to live your life like Jesus did and find ways to show love and kindness in all you do and to all you meet this week.
